Witch's Woods at Nashoba Valley Ski Area came to life in the fall of 2000 and rapidly became a must visit destination for fright fans of all ages. Our most popular attractions, Haunted Hayride, and Nightmare Mansion have been a huge part of our success and over the course of our 9 years in operation we have grown steadily, and now average over 45,000 visitors per year. Employing approximately 180 people and encompassing nearly 100 acres, Witch's Woods is one of the areas largest seasonal employers. Today, Witch's Woods is the home of the regions most popular Halloween attractions, Castle Morbid, 3D Keepers Crypt, Nightmare Mansion, Horrorwood Chamber of Chills, and of course our signature Witch's Woods Haunted Hayride. Witch's Woods also features a carnival ride and games, and many different food, snack, and entertainment options.

Witches Woods announces the addition of our 6th feature, the all new Horrorwood Chamber of Chills.
Witch's Woods at Nashoba Valley Ski Area to add the all new Horrorwood Chamber of Chills this fall. This will be our 6th feature and a great addition to our lineup! Horrorwood will be up and running for our premiere/opening evening on Thursday October 2nd, 2008. Horrowood, a tribute to film horror icons past and present will offer visitors an all new interactive way to experience chills and thrills with many recognizable horror legends.
"We are excited to add Horrorwood to our existing line up. It will be our 6th feature, and is a perfect fit with our current attractions. Horrorwood will incorporate a couple of different aspects of our existing features with some new twists, namely, the inclusion of highly recognizable Hollywood Horror Icons. We look for it to be one of our premiere and most frequented exhibits"

Witch's Woods now features the most elaborate Haunted Hayride in New England.
Witch's Woods at Nashoba Valley Ski Area is pleased to announce the continuance of our most popular attraction, The Haunted Hayride. The Haunted Hayride experience will take visitors through acres of dark forests and empty graveyards, into a domain of witches, werewolves, zombies, and other dark creatures that have haunted mankind's imagination since the dawn of time.
"The Haunted Hayride has always been one of our premiere and most frequented attractions. It incorporates many different aspects, visually there are things coming out of the fog and darkness at you from all angles. We also use sound to build tension, and then of course there is the costumed host onboard the wagon, telling the tales of ghosts, witches, and zombies of the past and present who may, or may not, be coming to get you"

Watch as our cast and crew transform nightly.
Ghosts, Ghouls, Monsters, and Zombies, appearing nightly. Check out our professional make up artists at work as they perform their magic nightly, transforming over 100 of our cast of characters into some of the most horrific, eerie, scary, and ghoulish monsters and zombies anywhere. The entire process is done in less than one hour. Our actors and actresses come from all walks of life including area professionals, students, contractors, and others.

Carnival attractions add to entertainment value at Witch's Woods.
The Freak Out adds an extra dimension of thrill for our visitors, a pendulum type swinging ride, colorfully lit, gives the area an extra bit of excitement. There are also traditional carnival games such as skeeball and ring toss, and of course all of those carnival favorite snacks, fried dough, popcorn, and pretzels.
"We feel that this addition has only added to the popularity of Witch's Woods, it adds an extra dimension and forms a centerpoint for the Witch's Woods experience. It's great to see the thrill people get from the ride, and the games are always a popular feature."
